Music Circles
A music circle where children have a say.
Private small-group music for families and communities, with live music, movement and real choices built into the session.
You bring together a group of children you already know and arrange a suitable space. I bring the live music, instruments and prepared materials. Children can choose, move, watch from the edge or return to something familiar without being asked to participate in the same way.

What the group adds
Children become part of one another’s experience.
A circle is not simply an in-home session with more children. The group changes what becomes possible.
One child sees another choose a song. A movement catches on. Someone waits, watches, copies, offers an instrument or joins when they are ready. The children are not only responding to the music; they are noticing one another.

The group size matters because genuine responsiveness becomes harder when a circle becomes a crowd.

A wider social circle, while still small enough for individual children to be noticed and the group to remain responsive.

You organise the group and space
A family, homeschool community or other small group brings together the children and arranges a suitable agreed space. The booking is private to your group rather than a public drop-in class.
Parents and carers stay close
A responsible adult remains nearby and responsible for their child throughout. Adults are warmly encouraged to sing, move and make music with us, but no one is expected to perform.
The rate is for the circle
The group rate is fixed rather than charged per child, so it stays the same if fewer children attend on the day. Your group can decide how the cost is shared.

Music Circles can be arranged at a family home or another suitable agreed space for a few families, homeschool communities and community gatherings.
